The Hellrazers are one of the most dangerous and enduring villain teams of the Modern Age. Though often associated with occult crime and supernatural threats, the group has evolved into a highly capable mercenary and super-criminal organization whose members share a fierce loyalty to one another.

The team originally came together when Lady Hellfire recruited several powerful outcasts and criminals to serve as security during an occult ritual intended to summon a demonic legion onto Earth. The scheme was ultimately foiled by Nexus, preventing a catastrophic supernatural invasion.

Despite the failure of Lady Hellfire’s original plan, the group remained together.

Bound by shared alienation, criminal histories, and a distrust of mainstream society, the Hellrazers gradually developed into a genuine surrogate family. Though argumentative and often violent, the members display an unusual level of loyalty and solidarity uncommon among villain teams.

Over the years, the Hellrazers have engaged in robberies, terrorism, mercenary work, occult operations, and large-scale criminal conspiracies across the globe.

Hero Wars

During the Hero Wars, the Hellrazers unexpectedly fought alongside Earth’s heroes against the invading forces of the S'Taa Dominion. Though many heroes remained suspicious of their motives, the team played a significant role in defending Earth during several major engagements.

Following the war, the Hellrazers received a full pardon in recognition of their service.

The pardon did not last long.

Within months, the team had resumed criminal activities and once again became targets of law enforcement and superhero organizations.

Reputation

The Hellrazers are feared not only for their formidable powers, but for their unusual durability as a villain team. While many criminal organizations collapse due to betrayal or infighting, the Hellrazers have remained together for years through a combination of mutual respect, shared outsider status, and ruthless efficiency.

Heroes who have faced the group often note that the Hellrazers fight less like hired criminals and more like a family protecting its own.

That loyalty makes them especially dangerous.
