Black Orchid is the mercenary identity of Leila Thomas, a failed initiate of the Sisters of the White Flame who turned her formidable martial and mystical training toward a life of crime. Silent, swift, and deadly, she is a master of stealth and close-quarters combat.
Origin
[edit]Leila Thomas entered the demanding training program of the Sisters of the White Flame, an order devoted to discipline, balance, and mastery of inner power. From the beginning, she possessed the raw talent required—but not the temperament.
Her volatile anger and inability to submit to the order’s strict philosophy marked her as an outsider among the initiates. Where others sought harmony, Leila sought dominance.
Her training ended in failure.
During a catastrophic training accident, her vocal cords were severely damaged, leaving her permanently mute. Whether the accident was truly accidental or the result of her own recklessness remains uncertain.
Cast out from the Sisterhood, Leila left with skill, power, and a growing resentment toward those who had rejected her.
Path Of The Mercenary
