FirePower is the armored mercenary identity of Jaden Blackstone, a cybernetic engineer and heavy-weapons specialist best known for his devastating combat armor and overwhelming firepower. Originally the protégé and technician of Enforcer, Blackstone eventually constructed his own advanced battlesuit and emerged as a dangerous superhuman mercenary in his own right.
Background
[edit]Jaden Blackstone first came to prominence working behind the scenes during the criminal career of Miles Carson, serving as technician, mechanic, and cybernetic specialist for the original Enforcer battlesuit. Brilliant with advanced systems engineering and weapons integration, Blackstone was responsible for maintaining and improving much of Carson’s armor technology during Enforcer’s long war against superheroes and law enforcement.
Unlike Carson, however, Blackstone preferred precision and engineering over brute intimidation. He viewed powered armor not simply as a weapon, but as an extension of human capability.
That philosophy became deeply personal after a catastrophic accident left him paraplegic outside of his armor systems.
Following Enforcer’s imprisonment, Blackstone disappeared for a time and began constructing a combat platform of his own design. The resulting armor was heavier, more destructive, and more technologically sophisticated than many expected.
When he finally emerged publicly, he called himself FirePower.
Mercenary Career
[edit]FirePower initially operated as an independent mercenary before briefly joining the super-criminal combat team S.W.A.T.. Within the group, Blackstone served as heavy weapons support and battlefield artillery, capable of devastating armored targets and fortified positions with overwhelming energy projection.
The arrangement did not last.
Blackstone’s personality, ego, and preference for autonomy quickly led to conflict with the other members of S.W.A.T., eventually causing him to break away from the group entirely.
In more recent years, FirePower has operated as a high-value weapons specialist and combat operative for HAVOC, where his technical expertise and destructive capabilities made him an extremely useful asset.

Personality
[edit]Blackstone is intelligent, disciplined, cynical, and intensely proud of his technical abilities. Unlike flamboyant supervillains who crave spectacle, he tends to view combat analytically, approaching violence as a matter of engineering efficiency and tactical superiority.
At the same time, years spent dependent upon machinery for mobility profoundly shaped his worldview. Blackstone increasingly regards flesh as fragile, unreliable, and inferior to properly engineered systems. Inside the armor, he feels powerful, whole, and in control in ways ordinary life no longer provides.
Though capable of loyalty when respected, he reacts badly to condescension or attempts to control him.
Legacy
[edit]FirePower became one of the most feared heavy-weapons mercenaries of the modern age, carrying forward the technological legacy of Enforcer while evolving it into something even more destructive. His appearances on the battlefield are often accompanied by catastrophic collateral damage, shattered fortifications, and enough firepower to threaten entire superhero teams.
To many heroes, FirePower represents a dangerous modern trend:
the transformation of powered armor from protective equipment into walking battlefield annihilation systems.
