The team was assembled by Viceroy in the aftermath of the Hero Wars on Earth. Having turned against the Empire that created him, Viceroy began gathering outcasts, rebels, fugitives, and freedom fighters into a small but highly effective strike force capable of challenging the galaxy’s greatest powers.
To the governments of Karnak and the S'Taa, the Liberators are terrorists, pirates, and dangerous insurgents.
To billions living under oppression, they are symbols of hope.
Operating aboard the stolen Karnak warship Moonraker, the Liberators conduct raids, sabotage operations, rescues, and covert missions throughout occupied space. Their actions have inspired resistance movements on thousands of worlds and transformed Viceroy into one of the most wanted beings in the galaxy.
Though vastly outnumbered and outgunned, the Liberators survive through mobility, daring tactics, and the fierce determination of their members.

Kaz Dyson is a pirate, smuggler, swindler, and professional troublemaker whose criminal skills make him invaluable to the team.
Quantum
Shawn Michaels is the former Earth superhero known as M, possessing the ability to manipulate magnetic and related energies.
Outlander
S'mon R'yidh is a former bounty hunter belonging to a dying alien species.
Zhiyana Ool
Viceroy’s mate, Zhiyana is a former courtesan-assassin bred and trained on the Karnak homeworld.

A highly intelligent alien companion whose loyalty and strange abilities have repeatedly aided the team.
The Moonraker
[edit]The Liberators operate aboard the Moonraker, a swift hyperdrive-equipped vessel commandeered from the Karnak Imperial Fleet. Though smaller than many capital warships, the vessel’s speed, adaptability, and heavily modified systems make it exceptionally difficult to capture.
The Moonraker has become a legendary symbol of resistance throughout occupied space.
Reputation
[edit]The Liberators are among the most wanted individuals in the galaxy. Karnak authorities regard them as insurgents whose actions threaten Imperial stability across entire sectors.
Yet on countless oppressed worlds, stories of the Liberators spread through whispered rumors, pirate broadcasts, and underground resistance networks. To many, they represent the possibility that even the mightiest empires can bleed.
The team’s actions have inspired uprisings, defections, and rebellions throughout the galaxy, making them far more dangerous to the Empire than their small numbers would suggest.
