The Unity League is the premier superhero team of Unity City and one of the most respected heroic organizations in the world.

The League was formed during the early Silver Age when Power Man, Scarab, and the Condor united to stop the atomic terrorism campaign of the supervillain Doctor Hieronymus. The success of their alliance led to the creation of a permanent superhero organization dedicated to protecting Unity City against threats too dangerous for ordinary law enforcement.

Over the decades, the Unity League has evolved into one of the central pillars of superhero activity on Earth-11717.

The League’s headquarters, Unity Hall, is one of the tallest skyscrapers in Unity City. From there, the team monitors threats ranging from organized supercrime and alien invasions to natural disasters and cosmic emergencies.

Unlike many superhero organizations, the Unity League operates with direct public support. The Unity City government, working alongside the powerful Grace Companies, funds and supports the League’s operations without formal political oversight. Members of the League are legally deputized agents with arrest powers and broad authority during emergencies.

The League has saved Unity City from destruction numerous times and is widely regarded as the city’s greatest symbol of hope and civic pride.
